Humour always helps your presentation by humanizing it and
adding variety. Cartoon visuals can be effective in dramatizing
certain points you make. Usually, they tend to exaggerate a
situation - either understating or overstating it. Humour
softens the bluntness which helps get the point across. If you
show a funny illustration every seven minutes, for just 15
seconds, you will be giving the audience a healthy mental

Overhead Transparencies

Practice revealing the transparency on cue with the content of
your speech. Keep the projector switched off until you are
ready to reveal the transparency, then turn it on. Until you are
ready to show the next one, keep the projector off. Shift
the transparency. Then turn it on again.
